Where are you currently working?
I'm working as the art director at Arcos Comunicação www.arcosonline.com.br

What do you do outside of your daily work?
I am working on two personal projects. A magazine with a different format and one project of prints for t-shirts.

How would you describe your work?
Strange!

I try not to condition itself as a unique style, I always look to be surprised. My work is not conventional, maybe a little backward, but with lots of use of typography and illustrations. I would like to have more time to develop more experimental design and push myself further to become a better designer.

If there was one thing you could change about the web, what would it be?
The clichés. Many sites lack creativity in the navigation and the user friendlyness of the overall structure which Idon't like. Another thing is the absense of interactivity, many times I feel like I'm reading the Yellow Pages, and that can't be a good thing.

Your designs have a unique style, where do your ideas and inspirations come from?
Brazil is an enormous country with a great diversity of cultures. There's alot of art in the streets and it's been born into my nature to absorb these styles into my work.

What do you find the hardest thing about design?
Many times the recognition. The reading and the visual knowledge of many customers are still quite difficult. I try to approach my style to the brief given as it's always a great challenge for me. However, it is also very stimulanting to obtain a surprising final result for the client, and as a good professional I never give up unitl everyone is satisfied.

What would be your ideal job?
A job that gave me the opporrtunity to travel a lot! To visit different places, cultures and people. To join all these references and experiences together to create a style of design and at the same time give lectures on art around the world! Hahaha.

And finally, what do you think of Urban Collective?
Urban Collective is what I always wanted in a design site, the interactivity and competitions. I remember my first submission I was very happy for having been recognized amongst hundreds of designers around the world. Now I'm always sending in my works. Without doubt, Urban Collective is a great place to showcase your work through the creative window of the world. Go and submit!
